First United Methodist Church in Cary Buddy will sing "Joy in the Journey" by Michael Card at the 3 morning worship services.  All are invited.
Sunday March 18 8:25am, 9:45am, 11:15am First United Methodist Church in Cary Buddy will sing "That's What Faith Must Be" by Michael Card (with an additional verse about the Centurion [Mark 15:39] by Buddy). All are welcome. All three morning services.
Friday March 23rd through Sunday March 25th First United Methodist Church in Cary Buddy and Annick Young will provide music for the "Discovery" weekend for mid-high youth. They will also accompany the youth in singing at the 11:11am Celebration! contemporary worship service in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday morning March 25th.

Saturday March 31, 5:30pm worship service The log cabin on Waldo Street at First United Methodist Church, Cary Buddy will sing "Simon of Cyrene" from his CD, "Step out on the Water," and "Joy in the Journey" by Michael Card.  All are welcome.  Come as you are - it's a log cabin!
Palm Sunday, April 1st First United Methodist Church in Cary (8:25am, 9:45am & 11:15am) Buddy will sing "Simon of Cyrene" from his CD "Step Out on the Water". He'll also be playing the Euphonium in the orchestra at those 3 services.  All are invited.
Wednesday April 4th 12:00 noon First United Methodist Church in Cary. Mid-day Lenten footwashing service. Buddy will sing "The Basin and the Towel" by Michael Card. All are invited.
Maundy Thursday April 5th 7:00pm Kenansville United Methodist Church in Kenansville,  NC.

Buddy will provide several songs. All are welcome.
Location: I-40 east for 65.5 miles from Raleigh; exit 364 toward Warsaw (NC-50), go 11.4 miles, arrive at 201 Routledge Street in Kenansville - church is on the left.

Playing and singing with the "Sonrise" praise band.Then he'll be playing the euphonium in the brass ensemble for  the 3 regular morning worship services ).  All are welcome.  He Is Risen!!

Saturday April 14th Louisville, KY Buddy will be playing euphonium with the Triangle Brass Band at the North American Brass Band Association national competition.

Efland United Methodist Church in Efland, NC (3418 Hwy. 70 West) Buddy will provide the prelude, offertory, and 30 minutes of music and testimony during the sermon time. The Pastor is Cindy Lister.  All are welcome.
Thursday May 3rd at noon Sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Cary, 218 South Academy Street Special music for the "National Day of Prayer" service.  All are welcome.
Sunday May 6th at 7:00pm Capitol Towers Retirement Home, Building #2, 4812 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh (just north of the I-440 Beltline, on the right between Northbrook & Shelley) 1 hour free concert.  All are welcome.
Thursday May 10th, 6:40 PM Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church in Cary, 117 S. Academy Street. Buddy will provide special music and lead group singing for the United Methodist North Carolina conference-wide "No Man Left Behind" training conference for men's ministry. The training is provided by the Man in the Mirror Ministry.
Saturday May 12th 8:00pm Fletcher Theater at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing arts in Raleigh Buddy will be playing euphonium with the Triangle Brass Band in concert. Featured trombone soloist for the evening is Jim Miller.

Fellowship hall of White Plains United Methodist Church at 313 SE Maynard Road in Cary

Buddy & Russ Secrest will be providing group singing and special music for the Heart of Carolina Emmaus Community Gathering. There will be songs, a message, communion, and, of course, snacks! All are welcome - come find out all about the Walk to Emmaus, a 3-day spiritual event that will last the rest of your life!

Saturday May 26th at 5:30 pm Buddy will set up his PA system to play and sing in the log cabin on Waldo Street at First United Methodist Church in Cary. He'll provide 25 minutes of uplifting music during the sermon time for the weekly Saturday afternoon worship service . It's very informal, so come as you are; shorts and a t-shirt are fine!

DIRECTIONS FROM RALEIGH/CARY Take Highway 64 West from US 1. Head west for 16.8 miles crossing Jordan Lake twice. Take a right at the stop light on Mount Gilead Church Road (by Gas Station and Self Storage Center). Follow Mount Gilead Church Road until it ends at US 15-501. Turn right onto US 15-501 North and drive 1/4 mile. Turn right into Fearrington Village.

Friday June 8th, 7:00pm Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church on North Roxboro Road in Durham

Buddy will provide special music and lead group singing for the Durham Emmaus Gathering.

Directions: From Raleigh/Cary take I-40 west to highway 147; take the Roxboro Road exit and follow it all the way through downtown Durham and keep going until you are headed toward Roxboro; the church is on the left after you pass Northern High School. It's a big church and pretty hard to miss, but "you will feel like you are driving forever the first time you go out there." The Gathering is in the fellowship hall which is around at the back of the church. Park around back - you will see the lights. All are welcome - come learn more about the amazing 72-hour event that will last the rest of your life - the "Walk to Emmaus "

Sunday June 10th at 7:00pm

You're invited to "SNL" (Sunday Night Live!) on June 10th at 7:00pm at Fairmont United Methodist Church on Clark Ave. in Raleigh. Buddy will be the guest musician, and will perform 3 "specials." The pastor, Steve Hickle will play his trumpet! There are free snacks before the service! Fairmont UMC is located at 2501 Clark Avenue, a couple of blocks past Cameron Village and Oberlin Road when coming from Cary on Clark Avenue. Church office phone: 832-3316.

Sunday Night LIVE !

Is traditional "church" too early? too formal? too dressed up? Then try the Sunday Night Live! alternative! It's Biblical, Musical, Dramatic, Recovery Friendly, Compassionate and more fun than anybody ought to be allowed to have in church!

Wednesday July 4th 4:00pm The gazebo near the pool at Meadowmont Community off Highway 54 in Chapel Hill

Buddy will be playing euphonium with the Triangle Brass Band at their annual Independence Day concert.
Meadowmont is across Hwy. 54 from the Friday Center.  All are welcome.

Sunday July 22 at 9:00am & 11:00 am Lebanon United Methodist Church in Mebane, NC

Provide praise music for the 9:00 worship service, and traditional music for the 11:00 service. All are welcome.

[Directions to Lebanon UMC:  Take I-40 west from Raleigh.  Just past the I-40 & I-85 merge, take exit #160 (Efland Exit).  At end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Mt. Whilling Rd. (road name not marked).  You'll cross some RRtrax and come to a dead end/stop sign.  Turn left there onto Efland Cedar Grove Road (also not marked).  Efland Cedar Grove Road curves around to a stoplight.  Go through the stoplight and continue 1.7 miles to a crossroads.  Turn left at the crossroads onto Lebanon Church Road (which later becomes Lebanon Road).  In 2.4 miles you'll go past Daniels Farm Road; keep going straight 0.2 miles, and you'll see the church on the right.]

Buddy will be leading about 20 minutes of music for the evening sessions of children's Vacation Bible School at First United Methodist Church in Cary, NC. Evening Bible School is from 6:15pm 'til 8:15pm each of those afternoons. Call the church office at 919-467-1861 for more information.
Sunday August 19th 8:25, 9:45, and 11:15am First United Methodist Church in Cary, NC. At the 3 traditional morning worship services, Buddy will perform a euphonium duet with the Triangle Brass Band's Principal Euphonium, Randy Guptill.  The selection is "Pie Jesu" by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Saturday August 25th at 7:00pm Buddy will lead the music for the Saturday praise & worship service at Efland United Methodist Church in Efland NC (3418 Hwy. 70 West).  He will be accompanied by two excellent musicians and friends, Mr. Greg Shank on the Hofner electric bass and Mr. Karl Von Gunten on the Yamaha V-drums.  Everyone is welcome!  The pastor at Efland UMC is Cindy Lister.
Sunday September 9 11:11am Buddy will lead the music for the Celebration! contemporary worship service at 11:11am in the fellowship hall at First United Methodist Church in Cary.  Everyone is welcome - come as you are - you will enjoy this service!

Saturday Sept. 15 4:00pm Buddy will be playing euphonium with the Triangle Brass Band in a joint concert with the St. Francis United Methodist Church Brass Band.  The concert location is the Herb Young Community Center in downtown Cary, at the intersection of Chapel Hill Road and North Academy Street.  For more info, call the Community Center at (919)-460-4965. 
Friday September 21st at 6:00pm Buddy will provide a 30 -to-40-minute music program for the older adults of the church (age 55 and up) in the Fellowship Hall of White Plains United Methodist Church in Cary.  Dinner is at 6:00, program to follow.
Saturday October 6th, 10:00am

Location:  Duke University's Goodson Chapel at the Duke Divinity School, next to Duke Chapel.
Buddy will provide music for the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Men's third annual "Duke Day". The program will kick off at 10:00am, featuring a message by Bob Harris, "The Voice of the Blue Devils."  Bob's talk will be followed by a 30-minute concert & group sing by Buddy.  Holy Communion will then be served. After Communion and a closing song, lunch will be served.  Then the group will adjourn to the Duke-Wake Forest football game.  

Buddy will provide morning music three times in Goodson Chapel:
1) "Gathering music" at 9:40-10:00.
2) A 30 min. concert/community sing after Bob Harris speaks.
3) Music during communion, and a closing hymn.

All men are invited.  Please pre-register to attend, at www.ncumm.org. Cost is $20, which includes the UMM program, one football game ticket, and lunch (hamburger or hot dogs, and drink). There is a new parking deck near the Divinity School, which is where everyone is encouraged to park.  It will be good to arrive early!

Monday October 15th at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00pm Buddy will sing lead (and sometimes alto) with the Methodaires Gospel Quartet  at the NC State Fair in Raleigh.  The six 20-to-30-minute performances will be outdoors at the "little white church," which is beside the Village of Yesteryear (Holshouser Building).  The Methodaires are from First United Methodist Church in Cary.

Nov. 4, 4pm

Buddy will perform a concert at Battleboro United Methodist Church in Battleboro, NC (near Rocky Mount). 
The concert will feature a number of traditional hymns and Christmas songs, as well as at least one song from each of the following 3 categories:  African-American Spirituals, Southern Gospel, and Contemporary Christian (Praise and Worship).
There will be a reception following the concert, where you can talk with Buddy and buy his CD, "Step Out On the Water."

Driving Directions from Raleigh:
  1. Take 64 East from the Raleigh beltline (I-440) to Rocky Mount (about 50 miles).
  2. Take 301 North to Battleboro (about 6 or 7 miles).
  3. Turn right onto W. Battleboro Avenue (W. Main Street), go about 0.7 miles to the church.
Thursday, November 8, 11:15am & 12:30pm Fayetteville, NC State Veteran's Nursing Home Buddy will perform the National Anthem on euphonium at the flagpole in front of the main entrance at 11:15am, to open the Veterans' Day program.  Then, he will provide a 45-minute guitar & vocal concert at 12:30pm in the Community Room for the residents, their families, and the staff.  The public is welcome to come and join in celebrating these wonderful American heroes.

Saturday, November 17th at 2:00pm Duke University, Durham, NC Buddy will be playing euphonium with a small ensemble from the Triangle Brass Band, for the graduation ceremony for Duke University's Fuqua School of Business Global Executive MBA program.

Friday, December 7, 7:00pm Fellowship Hall, First United Methodist Church, Cary, NC Buddy will perform a 40-minute concert and Christmas sing-along for the Ellis Bland Sunday School Class Christmas party.
Thurs, Dec 13, 7pm Buddy will be performing a 30-minute Christmas music program at 7:00pm for the Clayton American Legion at the American Legion Building on Old Garner Road in Clayton, NC.
Sat. Dec. 15, 5:30pm Buddy will be singing 3 songs at the Saturday afternoon informal worship service in the log cabin at First United Methodist Church in Cary, NC.  One of the 3 songs is a duet on "Mary, Did You Know?" arranged by Bob Briggs, who will play the mandolin and sing with Buddy.   
Mon. Dec. 16th, 11:30am State Construction Office, Raleigh, NC Buddy will perform 30 minutes of Christmas music before the State Construction Office's annual family Christmas luncheon.  After lunch, Laura Wright will join Buddy with her oboe, for some oboe/guitar duets.

Butner Federal Correctional Institution, Butner, NC

Buddy will be performing a 90-minute to 2-hour concert of sacred and secular music for the inmates at the Federal Correctional Institutional in Butner.  Between songs, he'll be talking about using our spiritual gifts to serve others, as well as people's deep need for Christ, both inside and outside the prison system.

Friends, I'd love to see you there, but you'll need to break the law to attend this one...

Monday December 17th, 3:00pm Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh, NC Buddy will be playing the euphonium in the Triangle Brass Band, in a Christmas sing-along concert.  The Triangle Youth Brass Band and the Triangle Youth Brass Ensemble will also be featured.
